Surgical Scars
Scars are often a physical marker of trauma. While coming to terms with your past is an important part of healing, this treatment is designed to camouflage many types of scars and discolorations, ranging from burns and puncture wounds to surgical scars and more. A unique pigment is created and matched to each patient based on their natural skin color. Scars begin to blend with the rest of the skin after several sessions.
This procedure has also been used to provide the finishing touches for post-mastectomy breast reconstruction. Technicians skillfully re-pigment the nipples and the areola onto the reconstructed breast tissue, determining the most natural-looking size and shape of the areola while matching the colors to the patient's own skin tones.
Birthmarks
Paramedical micro-pigment implantation is safe for all types of birthmarks. Though birthmarks can vary in forms such as moles, cafe-au-lait spots, Mongolian spots, salmon patches, and port wine stains, any of these vascular or pigmented birthmarks can be safely camouflaged no matter where they are located on the face or body.
Burns
The treatment of burns is a two-part process. Burn scar tissue, of any degree or severity, often leads to both discolored skin and thickened tissue. Our unique technique addresses both factors to help the healing process. The paramedical micro-pigment implantation is initially applied to correct the color to return it to its normal pigment and also works to help break down the thickened scar tissue and smooth the damaged skin. The technique is performed over a series of treatments to build the pigment, soften the texture of the skin, and prevent further damage to the sensitive tissue.
Stretch Marks
This specific technique aims to correct and treat stretch marks. Over a series of treatments, our senior technicians will work to implant natural pigments into the tissue, improving the color and visibility of the stretch marks.
