MICROBLADING

What is Eyebrow Microblading?

Microblading is semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing. A manual tool with very fine needles is used to deposit pigment underneath the skin, with fine lines drawn individually to mimic the look of real hairs. This results in beautiful, full, defined, natural-looking eyebrows.

Microblading is ideal to cover gaps, define shape, create an arch or fill in the brows. The microblading process constructs natural-looking eyebrows for people with very little or no brow hairs, or those wanting to fill out patchier brows. It can be performed on both men and women.

At Puress Spa, we are committed to offering the best microblading experience in the Brampton area.

How long will my Microbladed eyebrows last?

Microblading normally lasts 1-2 years as it is semi-permanent. Some factors of how long they last is your skin type and how well you take care of your brows. With proper care, they will last longer and you will have the best results. Microblading does require a touch-up after 8-12 months to maintain them. The advantage of your brows being semi-permanent is that you are not stuck with them. Our faces change over time and with that, you can reshape the brows however you want.

The Healing Process

Your eyebrows take a minimum of a week to heal. In the first 7 days after the treatment, it is very important not to apply any makeup, powder, or any other cream over the eyebrows except the aftercare that is recommended to you. You must NOT pick your eyebrows and let the scabbing fall off naturally. Avoid dust, touching eyebrows with dirty fingers, tweezing, swimming, tanning beds, working out, excessive sweating, and direct sunlight.

Avoid abrasive treatments in the area of eyebrows such as scrubbing face washes, masks, peels, etc. No laser treatments on eyebrows as it can lighten pigment or create burns.

How long does Microblading take?

The appointment takes about 2 1/2 hours. Puress Spa offers free consultations and estimates to potential clients.

MICROSHADING

This semi-permanent procedure, also known as microshading, combo brows, combination brows, blade and shade, and hybrid brows, combines microblade hair-like strokes and machine shading. Microblading is the first part of the procedure, where each stroke deposits pigment by gently etching hair-like strokes into the skin using a one-time-use, disposable hand tool with a very fine blade. The second part of the procedure is done by a makeup machine and a one-time-use, disposable, single needle that gently implants tiny dots of pigment into the skin, between the bareness of the strokes. This gives a powdery effect, creating density and fullness to the brow.

The color of the pigment is carefully chosen to match the natural or desired eyebrow color, taking into consideration the client's skin overtone and undertone.

  • Results typically last 1-2 years, possibly longer with machine shading. However, how fast it fades depends on the skin type, sun exposure, aftercare, and skincare routine.
  • A touch-up is recommended at 12-24 months, for a color boost and to maintain the desired shape for a longer period of time.
  • Best for individuals with tight skin, small pores, and normal to dry skin.
  • A better option for individuals with oily skin.

OMBRE/POWER BROW

This semi-permanent procedure is a shading technique of the eyebrows. It is done using a permanent makeup machine and one-time use, disposable, single needle, that gently implants tiny dots of pigment into the skin. The result is a soft, powder effect of the eyebrow. Depending on the client's desired look, a powder brow can be made as soft and natural or as bold and makeup, as the client wishes.

The color of the pigment is carefully chosen to match the natural or desired eyebrow color, taking into consideration the client's skin overtone and undertone.

Results last longer with machine shading, typically ombre/powder brows last 1-3 years. However, how fast it fades depends on the skin type, sun exposure, aftercare, and skincare routine.

A touch-up is recommended at 12-24 months, for a colour boost and to maintain the desired shape, for a longer period of time.

Minimal trauma to the skin.

Less touch ups required.

Great for all skin types.

Does ombre/powder brow hurt?

Clients will be pre-numb using a topical anesthetic. Once this has been applied, many clients explain they are very comfortable and feel only a little vibration of the machine. Again, many clients fall sleep!

NANO LASHES One Step - Away From Perfect Eyelashes

NANO lashes represent a revolution in the extension of natural lashes. The most modern technology is used for production, ensuring higher adhesion. Thanks to the micro-porous structure, lashes last longer and do not damage natural lashes. NANO lashes are made of high-gloss fiber, which creates a significant result in the application of extensions. NANO eyelashes are suitable for the classic lash-to-lash, volume, and mega volume method.

Natural lashes that amaze with their length, vibrant color, and spectacular density? Now it is possible! Just one month is all you need to get the makeover you have always wanted. Be prepared to impress with your luscious lashes. The secret lies in the unique formula made with top-quality and natural ingredients.

WHY NANO LASHES?

  • Strengthened and lengthened lashes
  • Top ratings from satisfied customers from all over the world
  • The best solution for sensitive eyes

NANO BROWNS

The nano brow technique is the next generation of microblading. A tattoo device and needle are used to create singular hair strokes in the skin which offers more defined, less invasive, and longer-lasting results for clients with normal to oily skin.

Nano Brow is designed for those who are eager to improve the look of their brows but without having that penciled-on result that many alternatives can achieve. This treatment utilizes a special Nano Needle that draws on each individual hair so it emulates real eyebrow hair. This is what makes it look so natural.

Each treatment will begin with first determining the exact shape and style that you want. Then the eyebrows are drawn on using a removable pencil, initially. Since this step is the most important one, it takes the longest. When you’re dealing with your eyebrows, you want them done right, so it’s important to be patient during this process. This step alone should take at least an hour.

Once the application of the temporary pencil is complete, you will be given a topical cream to numb the area to reduce any sensation, along with an anesthetic. Then the Nano Needle is used. Overall, you can expect the treatment to be relatively painless.

EYELASHES

Looking for the perfect extensions but not sure if Classic, Hybrid, or Volume eyelash extensions will suit you right? Keep on reading.

If you’re new to the world of eyelash extensions, there are different terms used for the different techniques that you need to know about. We’re here to give you the rundown of what it all is.

They all share the isolation process in common when it comes time for the application. This is essentially the process of using a tool to get the extensions in between your natural lashes so that none of them get stuck to each other!

WHAT ARE CLASSIC EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Classic eyelash extensions are a simple, beautiful, natural-looking lash style. They are applied on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension is attached to one natural lash. This gives you a natural-looking lash.

Classic eyelash extensions can be a range of materials, thicknesses, and styles. Classic eyelash application usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, and the results should be soft, natural-looking lashes. They won’t add as much in the way of volume as they will in length.

WHAT ARE VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Volume eyelash extensions vary from the natural look which adds more length than volume. Volume lashes instead give a fuller, thicker lash look. The lashes range from 2D-6D – meaning 2 extensions to 6 extensions per one natural lash. It typically takes 2-4 hours depending on whether or not the technician uses pre-made fans.

Volume lashes refer to super lightweight extensions (starting from 0.03mm) that are crafted into a fan before being applied to individual natural lashes. This technique increases your lash count by as much as 700+ extensions per eye, giving you a dramatic look with unrivaled fullness.

WHAT ARE HYBRID LASHES?

As mentioned, hybrid lashes are a 70:30 mixture of both volume lashes and classic lashes. Choosing hybrid extensions gives you the best of both worlds. The look is achieved by mixing classic lashes and volume lashes placed strategically to frame the eyes. Hybrid extensions offer a variety of textures and more volume, but without the sometimes slightly unnatural look of volume lashes. For clients who want a lash line with a bit more volume but not quite as full as volume extensions, this is the style to choose.

Hybrid sets can still look very natural, depending on the ratio of classic to volume your stylist chooses, and the size/shape of the volume fan used. These sets usually give a more textured or full look, meaning if you like your lashes to look neat and perfectly even, they may not fully suit.

However, hybrid lashes are a great starting point for those classic lash wearers wanting a bit more fullness, or for clients who don’t have a lot of natural lashes and find classic lashes look too natural or even sparse.

Many stylists love hybrid sets because of the flexibility that allows them to be as creative as they like. Outside the guidelines of safe application, there are really no rules to the styling of a hybrid set, meaning it can really be molded to your face!
